The first Orthodox church we saw. The Orthodox Church is the heir of all the Christian communities of the eastern half of the Mediterranean. After several disagreements and conflicts, the Orthodox Catholic Church and the Roman Catholic Church broke in the so-called Schism of East and West, July 16, 1054.
